Sully Play Attractive Rugby

Sports travelled to Whitchurch this weekend, nevre knowing which team will turn out for Whitchurch, Sports order of the day was COMPOSURE.

That said from the Ref's whistle both sides showed that they wanted to play running rugby.  Sports soon got on the rampage led from the front by Jon Blake.  Some great interlinking between forwards and backs soon saw Matt Phillips get the first try of the day.  It was good to see that all players wanted this match and had worked hard during the week in training.  Again Sports sprinted up the field after an amazing take at the restart by Nathan Taylor.  The Referee at times allowed the game to flow which suited Sports down to the ground.  With further try's from Tom Cotter, Jon Blake and Gareth Foxall.  Half time as upon us.  The crowd being entertained by some very attractive running rugby.

Talk at half time was more of the same keeping discipline and just play rugby.

Sports defense was at its best ensuring Whitchurch had to work hard for any possesion, turn overs ensued and Adam Wheeler was of like a whippet snipping between defense.  Again some hard graft and yards from the forwards ensured an armchair ride for the backs.  With further trys from Dai Harris, Nathan Taylor and Sam Bowditch, with 3 conversions from Dai Harris the final score was 41-8 to the visitors.

Thanks again to all the supporters that made the short journey, you are all inspirational to the players and prove that extra voice on the side of the pitch is vital, to our season.  See you all next week when we entertain Old Penarthians at home kick off 14:30.  All welcomed, training is on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 18:30 for all those that wish to come along.
